Light School
A Torah-Rooted Learning Environment for Children and Families
The Light School is a Torah-centered enrichment program for children and families, rooted in Hebraic principles, covenant values, and lived faithfulness.
The Light School exists to support children in learning God’s ways through everyday life—cultivating character, moral clarity, identity, and love for the Creator as they grow.
This program is not rooted in modern spirituality or abstract self-development. It is grounded in Torah as God’s loving instruction for life, guiding children to walk in truth, responsibility, order, and love within their homes and communities.
Our Foundation
The Light School is founded on:
Torah principles as God’s guide for life and blessing
Hebraic understanding of Scripture in its original context
Covenant values passed from generation to generation
Learning through relationship, rhythm, and example
The heart of The Light School flows from the personal Torah study, devotion, and lived practice of its founder, Danielle Edmondson. Danielle is currently a student enrolled in ICTS Torah study classes through STBM (School of the Torah of the Nations) and continues to grow in her understanding of Torah principles and their application to family life, education, and generational legacy.
The Light School is not formally affiliated with or endorsed by STBM at this time. Any references to STBM reflect Danielle Edmondson’s personal study, respect, and ongoing learning and do not imply authorization, partnership, or endorsement.
It is Danielle’s prayer and long-term vision to one day collaborate with STBM, with proper authorization, and to utilize their children’s curriculum as part of a future Texas satellite learning center at The Light Ranch.
Our Heart for Children
We believe children are:
entrusted to us by God
created with purpose and identity
shaped by the environment and examples around them
strengthened through consistency, love, and truth
At The Light School, children are guided to:
understand who they are as God’s creation
learn right action, responsibility, and respect for others
develop moral character rooted in Torah principles
express love through obedience, kindness, and integrity
Children are taught to walk in love as Yeshua walked and taught—through humility, compassion, obedience to the Father, and faithfulness in everyday life.
Educational Inspiration
The Light School draws inspiration from Torah-centered children’s education that emphasizes ethics, moral development, and the practical application of biblical principles in everyday life.
Children learn best when truth is presented clearly, consistently, and in ways they can understand and live out. Our approach reflects age-appropriate teaching that helps children grasp:
right action and responsibility
respect for others
purpose, identity, and character
how God’s instructions apply to daily life
Learning is designed to be engaging and experiential, incorporating storytelling, creative activities, discussion, movement, and hands-on projects that support comprehension and retention.
Learning Through Life and Practice
The Light School emphasizes learning through lived experience, including:
storytelling and biblical narratives
interactive lessons and guided discussion
creative expression and hands-on projects
teamwork, cooperation, and respect for others
connection to nature as God’s creation
honoring the Sabbath and biblical rhythms
Children learn not only through lessons, but through daily practice, modeled behavior, and guided experience.
Emotional, Social, and Physical Well-Being
The Light School supports the whole child by nurturing:
emotional awareness and healthy self-regulation
positive social interaction and cooperation
resilience through structure, routine, and encouragement
physical well-being through movement and nourishment
Environmental awareness, cultural understanding, and age-appropriate nutritional education are integrated into the learning environment to support balanced development.
Academics and Learning Tools
Academic learning is supported through carefully selected educational tools that emphasize:
language development and vocabulary
comprehension and critical thinking
consistency and repetition for mastery
The Techno Tutor vocabulary-based learning program may be used as a supplemental academic resource to support literacy and foundational learning across age levels.
Nutrition and Stewardship
The Light School honors the body as God’s creation.
We emphasize:
organic and kosher food principles where possible
teaching children how food supports health and well-being
gratitude for provision and stewardship of the body
Children are encouraged to understand the connection between God’s instructions and healthy living.
A Foundation for the Future: The Light Ranch
The Light School represents the foundational seed of a greater vision—the future Light Ranch, a Torah-centered family learning and wellness environment envisioned to serve children and families in Texas.
The Light Ranch is a vision still in formation and prayer, with the hope of:
collaborating with established Torah education leaders
offering structured Torah learning for children and families
integrating faith, stewardship, nature, and community life
serving as a place of restoration, learning, and covenant living
Until that time, The Light School offers children’s programs and seasonal camps grounded in Torah principles, character development, and faith-based living as they are lived and modeled in everyday life.
An Invitation to Families
The Light School welcomes families who desire to:
raise children rooted in Torah values and covenant living
cultivate homes built on faithfulness and love
return to God’s design for learning and life
pass a legacy of truth to future generations
If your heart is drawn to a Covenant-rooted foundation for your children—one grounded in humility, integrity, and lived faithfulness—you are welcome here.
Together, we are laying the foundation for a future rooted in truth and light.
Lovelight On.
